World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week

World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW) highlights the global threat posed by antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

It is crucial to educate young adults about the significance of AMR, especially as they transition from pediatric care to adult healthcare. They face critical health challenges, including mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and substance use. At this stage of life, it is also essential for them to understand long-term health risks, such as those posed by AMR.

To support healthcare professionals, the AMR EDUCare project has developed specialized courses to enhance communication and promote informed decision-making. Together, we can empower young adults to take an active role in the fight against AMR.

Experts from HMA have developed the methodological guidelines needed for the creation of digital courses, playing a key role in the AMR EDUCare project.
